Hopkioa, for himself, him-self, against his late partners, Robert I. Carpenter and Francis H. Collins. The firm hud been in the iron com mission business for many years, but dissolved in 1S7L Hopkins owes about $200,000. He waa treasurer of the Chicago and Lake Huron railroad. Kansas City, Mo., 3. The Maitiu . bank of thia city suspended thia morn iDg. The following waa posted on tiie door: "Owing to the recent heavy run on this bank, it ia deemed neces- , eary to cloae business for the present, , that the interests of all creditora may be equally protected. (Signed) John G. Martin, Cashier." For the past three or four daya there has been u steady drain upon the bank, and the business public have looked for aomething of this nature to occur every day.
