Show Entertainment The Volunteer Literary association, of the Seventh ward, gave a private entertainment last night, at the residence resi-dence of Mr. Henry Dinwoodey. The programme consisted of recitations, uelect readings, eetaye, vocal and instrumental in-strumental mueic, and the reading of the Gazitis, a manuscript paper published pub-lished by the eociety. A number of visitors were present, who were highly pleased with the exercises, which were all very well rendered, and which Bhowed that the members are attaining at-taining their object mutual improvement. improve-ment. The association meets each Friday evening, and is composed of both ladies and gentleman. |
