This took place yea terday, Dr. J. M. Benedict operating, with tbe assistance of Drs. F. D. Benedict, Ben-edict, Hamilton and Thompson. It -s the first case of the pereneal section in tbe country, as far as is known, and is an exceedingly difficult and danjerous operation. The incision in the perineum was two inches in length and of a corresponding deplb, to reach tbe bladder. Great difficulty was experienced in finding the dislil end of the urethra, which, when found resulted in the entire relief of Mr. Wright.
