Show Fourth Demoustratioa. A patriotic demonstration on tbe 4tb of July, 1878, was given by the temple tem-ple quarry men, in Granite, Little Cottonwood. The following is the programme as carried out: j First Salute by thequarry artillery at dayt reak. - i Second Unfolding of the national fl-tg and music by tbe baud at sunrise. Third At 7 a m., marched in double file from headquarters to par ade ground and at the head of the column tbe quarrymen's btnner w is unfolded, on which was an illustrative punning of the quarrymen at work, with the appropriate inscription "Rough aud Ready," und b;ind play ing the Uraud March Irom iNoraii, where they drilled until noon. Fourth At 1 p.m., ekirmish exer cises until 3 p.m. Fifth Dress parade at 3.30 p.m., and marched to the ueat and beautiful beauti-ful little bowery; assembly called to order by tbe marshal! of the day Mr. J. Gardner. Sixth Singing National Hymn of America by the ohoir. Seventh Prayer by chaplain. Eighth Reading of tne declaration declara-tion of independence. , Niuth Yankee Doodle by the band. Tbe entire assembly then arose to their leet and gave three hearty cheers lor tbe national flag. Tenth Tne quarrymen's glee w.u then sang with a "vim" and illustrated illus-trated by each member with a single bind hammer and drill, keeping lime with the siuginji- Eleventh An oration was then delivered by the orator of the day Twelfth Star SpAugled Banner was then sang. Fifteenth Songs, toasti, etc. Sixteenth American Marseilles hymn, by tbe choir.
