Tiia Cleveland police force have donated $500 ot their life ami health fund for the benefit of tbe yellow fever BuflererB, making the iot.il amount given so far by citizens, $2,000. Columbus, 26. A citizens' moet iug in tbe interest of the ellow fever auflerers, to night, was largely at tended, and $S00 collected, which w'll bo sent south at once. A committee was appointed to canvass the city Savannah, Ga,, 26. At a meeting to raise a relief fund for the yellow fever sufferers, $1,000 was contributed, and more will be raised. Chicago, 26. Among the contrib uters for the yellow fever Buflers, to day, are the following: Young Men's Christian association, $111; merchants, mer-chants, $550; Hon. 0. B. Faiwe.ll, $100. The Masonic lodges of this city, thirty-five in number, voted, to night, to tend to the stricken cities S1.S00, in installments, if called for by their southern brethren. Individual members mem-bers also raised about $900, to be sent immediately. The citizens' association associa-tion committee forwarded $2,000, and Murry Nelson, president of tho association asso-ciation whioh is raising the funds, estimates the total amount which he collected at from $25,000 to $30,000. |
