Show No new developments in the poisoning otiso in tho family of D.ivid Miller, 15;h ward, have been made. Mra. Miller waa somewhat better yea-terdfty, yea-terdfty, but her recovery is still a matter ot grave doubt. The little 12-year old girl is by far in the worat condition, no hopes whatever being ontertained for her recovery, and she still contmuoa unconscious. Dra. Thoaip-oQ aud Benedict isited the patieuta yesterday, and are couviuced that it is an 'indisputable caee of poisoning by arsenic, but how that poison waa taken Sb a mystery, oa an examination of the house by these physiciau3 failed to discover signa of poison of auy kind. In addition ad-dition to this, Mrf. Miller now denies having taktu Fq ior on Friday niht and also that her huyband brought any to the h .mc on the afternoon of thai day. The littlo child 5 yoar old however, who stated on Saturday night that they had taken toddy before goinc to bed, still repeats her assertion, hut can yive none of the particulars. That ilisacise of poisoning seems beyond dispute, and whether accidental or otherwise, is a matter that Bhould bo learned, if possible, though, eo far, thero appears to have been no stepa taken looking to that end. i |
