Col, W. Ye; iu the first munici pal ward 77 new names have been added; in the Becood, 280; third, 128; lourtb, 60; and in the Slih, 2U3; total addition, 748. Deduct irom this number those who have died or removed re-moved since the last county registration, registra-tion, 332 in all, we have an inorease of 416. E. Do the women in the ci'y, as a rule, recieter as voters? Col. W. They do, pretty generally. R. What ore the neceerary qualifications quali-fications for women to be eligible to vot-? Col. W. First, they must be over 21 years ot age; second, must have resided in Slt Lake City six monthn; third, must be native born, naturalized, natural-ized, or have become citizens through the naturaliztion ot their parenls, or be the wife of a citizen of the United States. R. Do you register any other than the first wife on the ground that they are the wife of a citizen. Col. W. We do not. Tr.ere are, however, hundreds of women in the city who are citizens in their own right, both native born and those who have become citizens through the naturalization of their parents. All such have the right to vote, whether married or single, R. Do you require any tax qualifications quali-fications fromjeither male or female? Col. W. We do not. All are equal in this respect. R. Do tbo non-Mormons, men and women, register as voters? Col. W. YeB, many of them do. R. Are all persons required to take the same oath and possess the same qualifications to entitle them to register?
