Show The Mexican Mission. The Tucson (A. T.) Citizen, of the j 11th instant, has the following in re gard to a company of "Mormon" missionaries ivho left this city a few weeks ago : Quite a number of immigrants arrived ar-rived here yesterdiy from Utah. They started out on a mission to preach the gospel in Mexico, but may conclude to Btop in Arizona. They understand this kir.d of country And all about irrigation, and are very much pleased with what they have aeen of the territory and the reception recep-tion given them by the people here. The names of the gentlemen composing compos-ing the party are, Captain D. W. Joues, Heleman Pratt, J- Z. Stewart, Amnion M. Teuny, R. H. Smitn, A. W. Ivius, Wiley H. Jones Mr. J. Z. Stewart being secretary. We believe they are Mormons by profession, but are very intelligent men and just suited to develope a new section of country. |
