The Nez Percea were much incensed at Haines and it was with much diffi culty that the white acouta and Lieutenant Williams could restrain them from killing him at once. The Indians were rendering very efficient aervico and now they will scarcely continue longer in the service. It is feared this will also drive tbe Umatil-laa Umatil-laa irom the field. At last accounts Hainea was under guard, and will probably bo brought to Col. Sanford'a camp. General Wbeaten telegraphs to Col.
