Tue greater part oftbe collection was presented by A. C. Dunne aud wife, of Virginia, recently rt turned alter Icn years' residency in Japan. General Heigo, minister of education, added a gift of thirty Jnpaneeo volumes and nine boxes of minerals from the Royal mu eeum in remembrance of b lb visit to the college in 1876, when ha was president of the imperial Japanese commission. |
