Show Utah Teachers' Association. The firs', regular meeting ot thiB society was h(-ld in tbe rooms of the Salt Like Collegiate inetituta last evening. A very interesting order of exercises bad been prepared and entertained en-tertained the teachers aud friends who were present. These exercises embraced an extempore inaugural address by the president, Professor Miller, an essay on "Reconstruction of tbe Hoodlum Element in Utah" by Miss Carlock, an address on "Individuality" "Indi-viduality" by Prof. Wilherell, aud a discussion upon the subject, "What importance should be given to the studies of natural science in schools below collegiate grade? The discussion dis-cussion was le3 by Prof. Coyner and Mias Seymour, and participated in by Professors Benner and Wilherell, and was full of interest. Several malterB of practical importance were discussed by the members, and when: the me2ting was adjourned it was the opinion of all that the association had started out with very favorable prospects. pros-pects.
