Upon leaving his master the servant turned charlatan charla-tan and set himself up ai a doctor. His numerous "wonderful cures" attracted much attention and he amassed great wealth. Meeting hid old master, some time alter, the physician asked bis former servant bow it was that be bad so many patients and madj such great money, while he, a genuine doctor, had hut n toad r and not overlv re munerative income. The charlatan' asked bim how many, out of every! hundred persons who passed his house, possessed good, common sense. The physician replied, alter some hesitation, perhaps two.
