Show A ltankrii)t Railroad. New York, 4. An adjourned meeting of tiie unsecured creditors of the Missouri Pacific railroad was held yesterday. Mr. T. J. Bowman, attorney at-torney for the city and county of St. Louis, stated that at the time the company wereU advertising for the sale of $1,S54,000 ol bonds, for seventy-five cents on the dollar, they did not have any bonds in their possess- sion to dispose of, and that the advertisements ad-vertisements were merely a blind to deceive their creditors. The bankrupt bank-rupt proceedings have terminated by the action of Judge Treat, at St. Louis, who has appointed receivers. |
