Show CONFUSION AMONG THE "LIBERALS-" Decline to Become Candidates. Should tho election bo pootponed one week longer we doubt if there would be a "liberal ticket" or any material of which to compose one. One by one the gentlemen whose names have been placed before the public as "liberal" candidates are dropping off, and these men are respectfully re-spectfully informing their friends that thoy do not wish to be classed with any such clique. It is even rumored the "liberal" managers con leu plate I silently stealing away next Monday. They are sick, even as though they had bsen guzzling Croton oil. If the few who had thought of voting anything any-thing but the "people's ticket" tomorrow, to-morrow, should find no other ticket at the polls they need not be surprised. surpris-ed. Those who placed me in nomination for this office were ignorant of the law touchinr this matter, or of my place of residence or both.'
