Show Copper a Nuisance-Wc Nuisance-Wc met a gentleman, who copper-inclined, copper-inclined, gave us a certiricale yesterday yester-day of ore that bore thirty-seven per cent, lead, twenty-nine per cent, of silver and about seven per ccut. of copper. This copper seems to l a matter that our smelters do not like-to like-to handle. And so the owner of the ore could not sell it. What is the matter? H is not that copper is unsaleable; un-saleable; but if ore carrying over ahnndred and thirteen dollars a ton of silver cannot sell, our miners should.know the fact. These samp les came from Newfoundland district; but that does not matter; the point is, does coppor stain invalidate the sale of ores? This is a question of some importance, because, if tho Gcr-mania Gcr-mania workd here do not care to treat such ores, it is'possible Baal bach, in Omaha, may not be so squeamish. |
