Show DEATH OF MILLARD FILL- i MORE. Washington. 0. The following was issued to-day : Executive Mansion, Man-sion, Washington, 9th March, 1S74, It is with deep regret that the President Presi-dent announces to the people of the United Suites, the death of Millard Fillmore, one of his honored predecessors, prede-cessors, who died at BuflUlo last evening. The long continued pub lic services anu eminent purity ol character of the deceased president will be remembered beyond the day of mourning in which the nation will be thrown by tiie event, which is thus announced. As a mark of respect re-spect to his memory it is ordered that the Executive Mansion and the several sev-eral departments at Washington be draped m mourning until the close of the day on which the funeral shall take place, and that business be suspended sus-pended on the day of the funeral. It is also ordered that the war and navy departments cause suitable military and naval honors to be paid on the occasion to the memory of the eminent emi-nent citizen whose life is now closed. U. tJ.
