Show AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO LOGS. Sec. I. 11c it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, that it shall not be lawful for any person to own or keep a dog within the limita of this City, without mating application applica-tion to the City Recorder for that purpose, and ahall pay to said Recorder, Recor-der, for the benefit of the City, an au-ual au-ual tix of three dollars. The Recorder Recor-der shall register the applicant's name and a description of the dog and give to said applicant a certificate of registry. regis-try. Any person found violating this section shall be liable to a line in any sum not less than three nor mure than ten dollars for each oll'ence. See. 2. All dogs so registered, shall wear a suitable collar with the own-ner'a own-ner'a name or initials of the same inscribed in-scribed thereon, together with tho number corresponding with the certificate certi-ficate of registry, and all dogs found at largo not registered and collared as aforesaid shall be liable lo be killed by any person. Sec. H. Any female tlog found running at large while in heat, shall be liable to be killed, and the owner or possessor thereof to a hue m any sum not exceeding fifteen dollars. Sec. 4. Any owner or possessor of a dog permitting or suffering the same to enter or be in any placo of worship during the public service, shall be liable to a fine in any sum not exceeding live dollars for each often cc. Sec. 5. If any owner or possessor of a tierce, dangerous or niisehicv-dog, niisehicv-dog, permit the name to go at large, he shall be liable to be fined for the first offence in the sum of five dollars; for the second offence the sum of ten dollars; and upon the third conviction convic-tion for the like offonce shall pay fitteen dollars, and the city marshal shall immediately cause said dog to ! be killed. The said marshal is here-j here-j by authorized to cause the destruction destruc-tion of all dogs not registered according accord-ing to the provisions of this ordinance. Sec. 6. Any person who shall kill, or cause to be killed, any dog registered register-ed an provided in this ordinance, without the consent of the owner or possessor thereof, or deprive a registered regis-tered dog of its collar, or put a cot lar on any dog not registered, nhalL be liable to a fine pi any sum not exceeding ex-ceeding twenty-five dollars. Sec. 7. This ordinance shall take eftect from and alter the first day of April next. Sec. 8, "An ordinance relating to dogs" paused April 27th, 1860, be and the same is hereby repealed. Daniki, H.
