Show Trouble In Tintic District. Our peaceful camp was disturbed somewhat yesterday and to day, by the stand taken by the men employed at the Mammoth Copperopolis mine. A meeting of the miners of the above property was held in their sleeping room last night, ahout J o'clock to take into consideration what legal steps were necessary to obtain the wages due us from the company. We have waited with great patience, we consider, a long time for a settlement by the company of our just dues. The company, owe most of the men over three months' wages and we are of the opinion that we have given them plenty of time to settle their indebtedness; indebted-ness; we are also fully convinced that the company have shipped sufficient bullion from the district to enable them to pay our wages without being necessitated to draw from any other funds. Therefore, under these consideration, con-sideration, we have come to the conclusion that wo are justified in taking our present stand to obtain nur ninnpva. Mr". James Truraro was appointed chairman, and R. Gillespie secretary, by the meeting. Mr. Rowan was called upon to make a few remarks, and in tho course of them he gave his opinion ns to how the men ought to conduct themselves under' the present condition of affairs. af-fairs. The chairman and others made some pertinent remarks, after which the meeting adopted the following resolutions re-solutions : Resolved, That we shut down the mine and not work any more until we get the wages due us ; and we shall hold the niine in our possession until such time as we get a full settlement from the company. Resolved, That we claim our full pay from the company while we remain re-main on the ground awaiting a final settlement of our wages.
