Eplcy, superintendent superin-tendent oi the Miller mine, American Foik, we obtain tho following information infor-mation in regard to mining matters in that region. Tho snow is about six feet on tho level and still continues to accumulate. No ore shipments arc being made from the district. The Miller mine is working a largo force ol men in extracting ore, and the appearances are that fifteen hundred hun-dred tons of ore will be placed on the dump ready lor shipment by the 20th of May, A large body of ore has beep struck in the Wild Dutchman, near Forest City. Tho work on the iniue is under the management of Mr. Ilaskins. It isiatended to fire up the American Ameri-can Fork smelter about the first of June, Work is also intended .to be commenced com-menced on the Live Yankee as soon as the snow disappears. C! A. Andrews has boon working a claim in Mary Ellen gulch all Winter, and the prospects are said to bo good. ' |
