Kd'fora Xatt Lake Herald: The following is the result of.our municipal election, held yesterday: There were 028 votes polled altogether, alto-gether, out of which the regular tjeket got opposition ticket, 10fi; scattering, 1. The election was quiet and orderly, notwithstanding that several of tne nominees on the opposit'on ticket were put there without their knowledge knowl-edge or consent, anil early in the morning had signed and posted up a protest against their names boing tiscd for any such purpose. Tho Mayor, Win. B. Trcston, was requested by a committee of the opposition op-position to permit Messrs. John Nelson, Nel-son, if. Goldman and C. G. Jlavis to be present at the counting of the votes, which was granted in a gentlemanly gentle-manly note. Saul gentlemen were, therefore, present during the whole canvasning of the votes, examined the ballot box, aijd 6aw that it had not been tampered with; and when it was all over expressed themselves perlertly , sntisfiixl with the fairness and honesty hon-esty ol the judges, can vassers and all concerned, Thomas B.
