Show AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DOGS. Sec. I. Be jt ordained by Hie City Council of Salt Lake City, that it shall not 1)C lawful for any person to own or keep a dog within the limits of this City, without making application applica-tion to the City Recorder for that purpose, aud shall pay to said Recorder, Recor-der, lor tbe benefit of the City, an an-ual an-ual tax of three dollars. The Recorder Recor-der shall register the applicant's name and a description of the dog and give( to said applicant a certificate of regis-1 try. Any person found violating Lliis i ! section shall be liable to a line in any sum not Ws than three nor more 1 than ten dollars for each offence. j Sec. 2. All dogs so registered, shall wear a suitable collar with the own-. own-. ner's name or initials of the same in- j scribed thereon, together with the j number corresponding with the certi- j hcate of registry, and all dogs found at large not registered and collared as aforesaid shall be liable to be killed i by any person. I Sec. 3. Any female dog found running at large while in heat, shall be liable to be killed, aud Ihe owner ' or possessor thereof to a fine in any , sum not exceeding fifteen dollars. Sec. 4. Any owner or possessor of a dog permitting or suffering the same to cuter or be in any place ol worship during the public service, shall be liable to a fine in any sum not exceeding live dollars lor each ollince. Sec. i. If any owner or possessor of a tierce, dangerous or mischiev-dog, mischiev-dog, permit the same lo go at large, . he shall be liable to ba fined for the first offence in the mim of live dollars; for the second oftence the sum of ten dollars; and upon the third conviction convic-tion for the like offence shall pay fifteen dollars, and the city marshal shall immediately cause said dog to be killed. The said marshal is hereby here-by authorized to cause tho destruction destruc-tion of all dogs not registered acconl-ing acconl-ing to the provisions of this ordinance. Sec. .
