McAllister, as bailiff. The Chief Justice annuiinml that the arguments commenced Tucsdny, but not concluded when the court adjourned, ad-journed, would bo fcuspended, and the marshal question be Liken up. Judge Sutherland appeared for J D. T. McAllister, the marshal elected by joint vote of the Legislative As-, sembly. He presented the certificate of election, and the certificate of the filing of the official bond of Mr. McAllister. Mc-Allister. The Judge then made an able and lucid argument in favor of his client. Pie was followed by Judge McBride in a long and comprehensive argument argu-ment in favor of B. L Duncan, the appointc of the Governor. Court adjourned till 10 o'clock on Thursday morning, when Judgo Sutherland is to conclude the a'gu-ments. |
