Show A NEW JERSEY TRACS.DY. The killing of two children by Iheir father, at HacketUtown, N. J., heretofore here-tofore mentioned in our dispatches, was one of the most heartless and cold-blooded murders that over occurred oc-curred in that state. The perpetrator of the crime ia a German house and 1 sign painter named John llutter, ! about forty-five years of age. He lived with his wife and children in a little shanty on a lane known as Wil- , low Grove street, in the lower part of the "town. He has long been known to be of a quarrelsome disposition, having been frequently engaged in altercations with his associates, And often threatening to kill those with whom he quarreled. On ono or two occasions he endeavored to carry bis threats into execution, but the timely interlerence of his fellow-villtigers prevented him from accomplishing his purpose. Ten years ago iio married mar-ried a woman living in Scranton, Peuu., and she bore him the two children chil-dren who died by hin hind on Friday. Rutter followed fol-lowed her thither, and succeeded in taking the children away. His wife went back lo their homo in Ilacketts-town Ilacketts-town and demanded their return. The husband rut used to deliver them, and tho mother in order to be with them, was persuaded to take up her residence with her husband again. On Saturday, about 12 o'clock. The boy oxclnimed, "Don'tl papa, don't!" but Roller paid no heed to his entreaties, and placing the pistol against his forehead sunt a bullet into his brain.
