Charles Williamson was fined by Alderman Thompson $200 and costs for striking W. H.Clark on Thursday; and -held in $300 bonds to keep the peace. The Selectmen of Weber county have declan-d Daniel Wood insane, and placed him in tbe custody of J. L. Child, of Riverdalc. From the Beaver Enterprise ol the 2nd: - - ,; On the 30th of January, a wagon in which George Marshall and wife, ofParowan, were riding, slipped off the road near Bear Valley, and fell fifteen feet into the river. Marshall was drowned and his wife was seriously seri-ously injured, being held down with the edgejof the wagon box on her throat three hours before assistance arrived. One of the horses was killed. A writer in the Enterprise says: "Be mea, and shake oil the galling yoke which liquor and tobacco are placing upon you!" |
