Show Probable Poisouiug--About ten o'clock last evening a little boy in the Fifteenth. Ward died under circumstances which lead to the supposition that he perished from the effects of poison. The boy's name is George Hill, a seven year old son of Henry and Mary Hill, who were divorced a short time siuce, the lady retaining the guardianship of the child. On Wednesday afternoon, Georee. in apparently good health, went from his mother's to the railroad depot, where bis father was at work, but returned in about two hours very pick. The mother at first thought it was but an attack of billiousncss, but yesterday afternoon, when the child grew much worse, Dr. Anderson was called hi, and he inmitidiately pronounced the sy nip tons those of poisoning, and administered ad-ministered remedies for such a case; but at the hour above the little fellow, in a violent lit, breathed bis last. Coroner Taylor was immediately notified of the occurrence, and will hold an inquest this morning. |
