Show Producing Iron-Last Iron-Last evening General W. B, Pace, of the Great Western Iron M. A M. Co. received a dUpatch from Mr. J. Hanks, the superintendent at Iron City, which stated that the furnace, recently fixed up, was working satisfactorily, and turning out iron in fine style. Two tons of pigs were to be shipped for this city this morning, and it whs anticipated that regular shipments of large amounts would soon commence. The prospect of the company's exertions being crowned with eminent succcbs, is flattering; and everything bids fair for the production of iron soon becoming one of the princ'pal sources of wealth to the Territory. |
