Y., During the progress of a strawberry festival in the parlors of tho Central Baptist Church here, the Moor suddenly gave way, precipitating the room full into the story below. The parlors were on the second floor and the room underneath was full. Wainwright and wife, Miss M, Thomas, a child named Ostrander, a little cirl named Leonard, one named llor ton, Miss Leo. Holmes j and a little girl named Winnie Col lins. Kcv. George T. Dawling, pas-i tor of the church is dangerously injured, in-jured, also his wife, who is not expected expec-ted to live. HOO persons arc in-1 jurcd, some dangerously. Ex-Alder-1 man Austrain Barnes is very serious-j y injured; Rev. Dr. H. J. Eddy is slightly injured The bodies are supposed sup-posed to be all recovered, but it is impossible im-possible to get the names of the injured in-jured to-night. The city is tilled with lamentations. A scene in the streets around the church battles description. Thousands are gathered there asking after friends, waiting for the dead and attending the injured. The police arc all nut. The lire department were called out; and took charge of Iho work of rccov-j criug the dead and the wounded. The church is comparatively new. A few! minutes before the lloor gave way it trembled so that many persons left the ro'ni, fearing the accident which had been predicted by many.
