Show City Council. Meeting of the City Council, Tuesday Tues-day evening Mayor YeUs presiding. presid-ing. Petition of George G. Wallace, asking ask-ing the privilege of building a platform plat-form in front of his warehouse, on South Temple Btreet, opposite the U. C. depot block, was referred to the Committee on Streets and Alleys. Petition of John Metz, asking that his saloon license be transferred to W. B. McGinity, was granted. The Committee cm Claims.towhcon was refirred the hills of the City Marshal Mar-shal for the month of September, reported re-ported that they found them correct, and recommended their payment. Report adopted. The Superintendent of the Insane Asvlum aqd Hospital presented his bill pf expenditures at those institutions institu-tions during the month of September. The amount of the bill, $391.90 was appropriated. Bill of Armstiong Bagky for lumber for water tanks, amounting to $150.93, was received and paid, Bill of John Clark for one span of mules, harness and wagon, purchased by the corporation, 425, was receive re-ceive 1 aud amount appropriated. Bill of D. H. Wells, for lumber furnished the bath house, asylum, aiad supervisor of streets, $134. S3, was received and amount appropriated. appro-priated. The committee on streets and &- leys, to whom was referred the petition pe-tition of Joseph Toronto, asking that $100 be appropriated to him for alleged al-leged damage done to his premises by the grading of Walnut street, reported report-ed that in their judgment the petitioner pe-titioner was not entitled to the appropriation. ap-propriation.
