Show ! Simple Justice. The people of Utah and tho Salt Lake Herald are under no obliga gaticn to Mr. A. S. Gould, the late agent of the Associated Press at Salt Lake City and the present "special" telegraphist to some newspapers cast and west, but our attention has been direcled, in a friendly way, to a paragraph para-graph which appeared in theHEUALQ of March 8, copied from the Washing Wash-ing Capital, containing nn imputation imputa-tion upom him personally, which this paper deems it just to disavow. With Mr. G-'apersonalcharacter and private life we have nothing to do, nor havo wo any knowledge which requires us to believe the imputation of his leading lead-ing a "scandalous life." The article in which the paragraph appeared was a racy one, about a number of individuals, indi-viduals, aud wo republished it the same as any other nows clipping, without malico. AVo make this expla nation injustice to ourselves and the gentleman alluded to, adding that this journalneither icars to do right nor to correct a wrong. |
