Show Miscellaneous. Providence, 31. The Atlantic Delaine De-laine company will go into voluntary bankruptcy. New Albany, lnd., 31. This morning morn-ing John Parker, au-Denter, shot his wife through the head and then blew his own brains out. Parker died instantly. in-stantly. His wife is still alive, but will not survive. Parker suspected the fidelity of his wife. Boston, 31. Pursuance to orders from Washington a large number of workmen were discharged from the Charleston navy yard to-night. Bridgeport, Conn., 31. The newly, built hardware factory of Hotchkiss & Sons was burned to-night. The loss is heavy; insurance $100,000. Erie, Fa.,31. Rev. J. F.Spaulding, Bishop elect to Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico, was duly consecrated consecrat-ed at St. Paul'a church, of which he was rector. Bishop Kerfoot, of Pittsburg, Pitts-burg, read the consecration service, and Bishop Coxe, of western New York, preached the Bcrmou. Tne other Bishops present were Bishop Talbot, of Indiana; Bishop McCoskey, of Mich.; Bishop Bedel, of Ohio, and about 40 clergymen. Pittsburg, 31. Hutchinson's steam pump works, and Williams & Co.'s priming press factory, both in one building, were bunted to-night. Loss heavy, and covered by insurance. |
