Show Reprehensible Carelessness. Yesterday morning as Mr. Lyman 8. Wood was passing in front of Mr. Jennings' new building, he was struck on the head with a half brick whioh fell from the third floor, cutting an unly gash in the top of his head about three inches long. The carelessness of the workmen on tho building in question ques-tion has been tho subject of complaint several times, two or three persons having been struck in a similar manner man-ner before, though this is the severest we have heard of. If no means can bo adopted to mako them act with greater care, the Eidewalk should be fenced in opposite the building, that passers-by may not be exposed to death or iiiuiuiiug from tuuli -m oaube, for death might bo thus produced. |
