Show SCHISTI AnOXU 5 X T I . USA-TIOXAMSTS. USA-TIOXAMSTS. The London correspondent of the Manchester Umtrdicin says, on Aug. 10: ''The Internationalists ! promise to afford us some entertainment next week. Dr. Karl Marx is still the pope of the Internationale, but the anti-pope of the association seems to have drawn away the majority of the faithful after him, so that Dr. Marx has now no recognized authority in the "sections " of the association in Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium and part of Prance. The opposition who 1 seceded from the last general congress con-gress of the association, held at the Hague hi September, 1S72, have now taken a ixld step. They have called thc! sixth- '-""viil rrin I"''''"' tbi-International tbi-International Working Men's association asso-ciation ' to assemble at Geneva on the 2d of September. It is to be attended by delegates of the Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Belgian federations, and also by some delegates from England, France, and the United Stales. Their intention is to proclaim themselves as the genuine Internationalists, and to denounce all others as importers. But Dr. Marx and his supporters, . with Whom still remains the apparent legal authority of the association, will not be idle spectators of this attempt : to -defy them, as they, too, have,U-J have,U-J sued an order lor the assembling of I the ' sixth annual congress of the International Working Men's asso-I asso-I ciation ' at Geneva, on tiie Slh of September, and then and there they I propose to excommunicate the revol-. revol-. ted party. 1 am told that the Eng-' Eng-' lisli delegation to each congress will bo butjsmall, owing to the difficulty of raising the necessary funds lo,$pay the expenses of the journey to Geneva. |
