Show THE SEW ELDORADO. In the London "Mining World" of October 5th, wefind published a notice calling the first ordinary general meeting meet-ing of the Aruba Ijland gold mining company, limited. Of this new sensation sensa-tion we wroto a couple of days ago. The "Mining World"devotes a lengthy editorial to the s bject. In last February Feb-ruary Mr. Benj. ltule made extensive examinations preliminary -to the formation for-mation of the company, and submitted a report of over fifty pages upon the bland and its resources, closing as ful-lows: ful-lows: As I hive already stated, I believe that on the island of Aruba there are more gold quant veins then are known to exist in any other place of the same fize. 1 here have been 200 veios already al-ready discovered and it is but reasonable reasona-ble to suppose that further explorations will develop many more.I have described tully 156 vein, which, as a wholo, are well situated f.r working. From forty-seven forty-seven of these I have obtained samples ol gold bearing quartz, varying in quantity from 500 to J0,0O0 pounds. Thisquaitz was taken from places under un-der my own supervision, put into bags and scaled with my seal It has arrived ar-rived u Fng'aud, and will soon be treated by competent persons, and certificates cer-tificates ot us yield, duly attested will accompany this report. A nill site has been decided upon near he vein ot that name, and in olose proximity to the sea. A good wagon road has been constructed from Orange-itadt Orange-itadt to tho proposed site, and the foundations are being prepared to receive re-ceive the mill and machincri. Stone buildings fur the superintendent and an office are in progress of erection near tho mill. A blacksmith's and machine shop is also erected. There is bow employed a force of about 150 men; 100 in mining operations, and the remainder on the roads and thovaiious works necessary to have in readiness before the arrival of machinery; ma-chinery; at a cost of each of 14d. English money per day, and 300or4u0 more can bo readily obtained at the same rate for 9 hours' labor. They are a very industrious and superior class uf laborers. 20,000 tons of ore are bow on tho surface, ready for treatment. Largo quantities of all descriptions of mining supplies, timber,&o., are already ordered. Blako's crushers, stamp mill, concentrators, amalgamators, of the most approved style, are HOW being built as rapidly as possible, under the constai.t supervision of a practical expert ex-pert of large experience. Careful surveys aro being made of all the different districts with a viewol ascertaining the most economical manner man-ner of developing and working them. Full reports will enable tba company to treat with parties who may desire to lease thoso districts or work them on shares. Applications havo already been made to the oompany to lease various va-rious mines and gulches ; but a desire to prevent competition in labor, and a want of full knowledge of the wealth and advantages of each of tho several seventeen districts upon the Island, have prevented them from entertaining entertain-ing the matter for tho time being. In addition to tho quartz veins manj gulches, rich in gold, exist upon the island. Wo were shewn at the office of tho company some handsome nuggets nug-gets brought therefrom; pumps and necessary machinery for working thest gulohes on an extensive scale are alsc in progress.
