IkxiksUivcr, ex-market inspector, in-spector, an old and well-known citizen, citi-zen, committed suicide at his residence resi-dence by shooting himself through the heart. Fur several days past Mr. Bookatavcr had been very morose aud melancholy, on account of pecuniary embarrassment, yet his family or friends nover realized for a moment that he meditated suicide. He went to a bureau drawer, got a pistol, and nlaeing the muzzle to his left breast fired, the bullet directly passing through .the heart and lodging near the spine. .
