Show - The enc-vn Award. -Washington, 0.- -The following statement of the manner in which the -Geneva award was today paid is furnished-from the Department of State. Ti -day Sir Ed wa rd Thornton a nd Mr.' Archibald, Consul General of Great Britain, agents of tlie British government to pay the Geneva award, called atthc Departmental' State and paid to the Secretary of State fifteen and a halt million dollars. Coin had been already deposited in the treasury to their credit, and these gentlemen transferred to the Secretary a certificate therefor, which he immediately im-mediately delivered to the Secretary of the Treasury, thus paving into the Treasury the fifteen and a half millions mil-lions to be used as provided by act of March, 17o. i'ive per cent, registered regis-tered bonds are issued in the Treasr ury by the Secretary ol State subject to future disposition of Congress.
