Show Eartli'Crncks over the Emma. From a gentleman lately down from a general survey of Little Cottonwood Cot-tonwood mines, we learn that along the line of the Emma tunnel, from the point of the cave near the Flag- staff intersection, there are three earth-cracks, running along for hundreds hun-dreds of feet. The pertinent query at i once presents itself: if the lower levels of the mine are now troubled with water, what will be the result when next spring's thaw comes and these cracks turn into as many water-spouts leading directly into the mine? If the works fill up to the top will Mr. Pofl-ard, Pofl-ard, of London, bo called upon to write another book explaining the connection between these cracks and the manipulation of the "Great Exhausting Ex-hausting Receiver" |
