Show I Destructiveness. There is a very general complaint of tho breaking of window glass and other destruction of unoccupied buildings in our city. A oase in point to which our attention has been called was the breaking list week of some thirty five lights of glass in the windows of IudependeDce HalL We presume this destruction to be the work of thoughtless boys, for wo cannot can-not behevo, as has been suggested, that there can bo any malice in the mattor. But, whatever the motive, it must bo stopped. Thoughtless boys must not indulgo in such expensive pastime without with-out punishment; sooner or later they will be found out The trustees of Independence In-dependence Hall offer a reward of $25 for information which will lead to the detection of tho parties concerned in breaking their windows. Boys, you had better stop such proceedings, pro-ceedings, or shame and disgraoe will be your lot. |
