Show Hogarth's Works. We have been shown, by Mr. Gus M. Clark, the agent, a very superior edition of the works of the immortal satirist, given in the finest ateel engravings copied direct from tho original paintings. paint-ings. The work is most complete in every detail and has a very fine text ''Tho greatest study of mankind is man," and there is no work extant that analyzes human nature as does Hogarth's. He is the twin of Shakespeare. Shakes-peare. What the latter was with his pen, that Hogarth was with the brush and pencil. He draws tho veil away from human nature, showing its frivolities, fri-volities, weaknesses and absurdities; the good and evil of mankind, and at the same time, inculcates the highest points of virtue and morality.
