Show Theatre,--Miss Ada Gray made a mistake in not opening with "Who's Wife" instead of "Article 47," the former being in every way a better drama. It drew a very largo house last night, and tho performance gave much satisfaction. To-morrow night "Littlo Em'ly," a dramatization of Dickons' "David Copperfield," which has been in preparation pre-paration some time, will be produced. This beautiful story has afforded the dramatist ample opportunity to construct con-struct a play full of interesting episodes acd dramatic touches of tho highest character. It is to be presonted with a full cast, inoludlog Mr. Chaplin who has been ro-engaged, Miss Walters, and the strength of the company. Tho drama of "Little Em'ly" should draw a large and sympathetic audience, for tho lovers of Dickens' works in this region arc numerous. |
