Show From Stab. Mr. 8. M. Hammond, just returned from Star, gives us the following facts relative to Rocky, San Francisco, Granite and North Star districts, dis-tricts, in all of which he is working mon. In Rocky he has made arrangements arrange-ments with an English company to work four mines the Homestead, Brooklyn, and two ethers, an shares they agreeing to put in works to reduce re-duce the ore so as to enable it to be shipped advantageously. The Croesus in this district is a very promising mine. In San Francisco djatrt Mr. Cris-mon Cris-mon is sinking a shaft of a hundred feet deep on a copper mine that has all the indications of being a valuable piece of property. He is also workiog other claims there that are looking excellently. ex-cellently. In Galena district Mr. Hammond is working two mon on the Latham, a galena lead. There aro hut few men in the district and but little excitement in the camp, yet ho says they have got fiuo prospects of galena. The Latham is two and a half miles from Antelope Springs on tho stage road toPioohe. In North Star Mr. Schoonmaker is working the Shenandoah and contiguous contigu-ous claims. The Hickory, in this district, dis-trict, owned by Messrs. Doylo & But-tertiold, But-tertiold, is uupposcd to have changed hands recently. It is one of tho best claims in tho district. General Pago is about to put a ten stamp mill in North Star, which is already ordered, and calculates to have it running by tho middle of November. |
