Morlcy, sister to president Lorenzo Snow, who departed de-parted this life on Sunday morning at twenty minutes past ten o'clock. Services Ser-vices were held in the hall to day commencing com-mencing at one o'clock p.m. and lasting last-ing about two hours, when appropriate and affecting remarks were made, by councilor Samuel Smith, Eliza It. Snow, (sister to tho deceased,) mayor 0. Loveland, and bishop A. Nichols; after which the corpse was taken into a large hall leading from the main one, tho ltd of tho collin was removed, and, as the mourners and numerous friends passed, they were permitted to tako a last farewell look of her who had been a mother and kind friend to hundreds hun-dreds throughout these valleys and elsewhere. The corpse was then taken to a conveyance prepared for the purpose, pur-pose, and placed at tho head of the procession, after which followed the relations of deceased, the authorities, choir and i'riends. The procession consisted con-sisted of sixty-two vehicles, conveying upwards of five hundred people; the largest funeral over witnessed in this county. The deceased was born in the town of Bicket, Berkshire county, Massachusetts, Aug. 1S01; and was baptized in Portage county, Ohio, May, ISol, by Joseph Smith. Otis. |
