Show Til k Ciiicauo "Times." The resuscitation re-suscitation of the Timet newspaper would furnish ample proof that Olu- ! citgo is by no means an extinct oily, if no other evidence of litis fact were at hand. The Times has always been a Chicago institution, thoroughly im- . bued with progressive western idoas, and it has done much to invest Chi-' Chi-' cago with the original and independent : characteristics lhat have made tho city famous. Mr. Storey, its editor, cvi-i cvi-i dently does not believe in namby-pamby namby-pamby journalism, but regards the . mission of the press as embracing .something more than tho mere chron-1 chron-1 icling of the words and acts- of the : "best society." The Times is one of ! the truly independent papers of tho country which it will tako several big fires to destroy. |
