The constitution drafted at the last convention in Massachusetts Mas-sachusetts has been ratified and is now law. Washington Hems "Washington, 19. Tho court martial hes been appointed to try paymaster Hodge; among the officers detailed for the court are Major-General Geo. B. Meade; Col. D. H. Sackett, Inspector General; Col. Israel Vogles, 1st artillery, artil-lery, and Col. N. W. Brown, assistant paymaster general. This morning, all the visiting Knights Templars accompanied by a uumbcr of Knights of this city proceeded pro-ceeded to Mount Vernon to sec the home of Washington and hold Masonic service at his tomb. La t robe, Grand Master of tho Maryland Masons, Ma-sons, delivered an address of welcome; to which William Sewell Gardner of tho grand encampment, made an appropriate response. Tho Mayor thus far has taken no notice of tho letter. Items From Chicago. Chicago, 19. The procession of Odd Fellows hero to-day was very large. Three thousand men were in line together, and over a hundred carriages containing members of the Grana Lodge. t t The national swine exposition opened yesterday at Dexter Park, and was ihinly attended, but it was the finest show of swine ever seen in the West-Over West-Over five thousand specimens of the best breeds known aro on exhibition. The Republican state convention to nominate a candidate for Congress from the State at large, meets at Springfield to-morrow. President Lincoln's Remains. Tho remains of the late President Lincoln have been removed from the temporary vault in which they have been since his death, and placed in the tomb just finished for their reception. There were no ceremonies, but Robert T. Lincoln, his only survivinc $on, with Senator Trumbull, Gov. Gratz Brown. Mo., Judge Davis of tho Supreme Court, and many citizens were present. Buffalo Industrial Exhibition Opened. Buffalo, ". Y., 19. The Industrial Exhibition was formally opened this1 evening, in the presence of an immense im-mense crowd. Tho opening address was delivered by Myron h. Brown, President of the Mechanics' Institute. Governor Hoffman then delivered an eloquent oration, The exhibition is a grand success, every branch of industry indus-try being largely represented. Henry Fire In Kansas. Fort Scott, Kansas 1'.'. A Banqnct to the Knights Templars Accident. Baltimore, 19. A grand banquet was given to the Knights Templars this evening at the Maryland Institute. There are three tables extending the entire length of the hall, with several hundred seats, all filled with grand officers and invited guests, including some fifiy ladies. Speeches and toasts followed the edibles, interspersed with vocal music. An accident of a painful nature occurred oc-curred to-night, while Ascalon Com-mandery, Com-mandery, No. 16, St Louis, was parading with a band preceded by its Eminent Commander, William, Whitten Ehringer on horseback. I When passing in front of Barnum's Hotel, where the street was closely crowded, the horse became frightened, reared and fell back on his rider, breaking his arm and otherwise badly bruising his him.
