Show S.-'iiool Festival, T-.e.-e wis a meeting of teacher yettrJjy to take preparatory steps for the general school festival of tie schools of this county, which comes off next Friday. Professors Maeser, Morgan and Monch, were appointed marshals of the day; and superintendent R. L. Campbell, professor Maeser and Miss Ida Ceoke, were appointed the committee on invitations, in-vitations, each taking charge of a separate sep-arate department of that branch of the business. Tickets can be obtained from Miss Mary E- Cooke, at the Social Hall ; and though she is there daily from 9 a. m. till 4 p. m.t holding school, the best time to call npon her is from 2 to 4 p. m. A suggestion has been made that when the children are out it woald be well to give them a ride to the end of the track of the TJ. S. R. R., there to hold their festival, or at some point contiguous, and we throw out the idea for the consideration considera-tion of those who have charge of the arrangements. |
