Tracy; secretary and actuary, E. M. Barnum; and a board of fifteen directors, from which is also chosen an executive committee com-mittee of five directors, to wit: Thos. P. Akers, Edmund Wilkes, Jno. T. Lynch, R. P. Lounsbery and J. M. Haskell. The objects of this association are set forth in article second of the bylaws. Seo. 1. To gather reliable iufbrma-! tion and statistics relating to mineral locetions and mining property through-out through-out Utah, their extent, development1 and value. Sec 2. To obtain and preserve as complete a record as practicable of! leading mines, mining companies, mills and furnaces, together with names of owners, amount of capital invested, extent ex-tent oi work and production. Sec. 3. To investigate and report upon the character, development, title, richness and value of mines and mining min-ing property, which shall have been submitted for examination, and registered regis-tered with the association. Sec 4. To furnish capitalists who seek information, reliable data and trustworthy evidences pertaining to location, lo-cation, titles, values, etc., etc. Sec. j. To advance tho interests of worthy and legitimate mining enterprises, enter-prises, thus discouraging bogus and , and fraudulent operations. Sec 0. To gather and keep a cabinet of ores, specimens and other evidences of the mineral wealth of Utah. Sec 7. To establish in Salt Like city a general office where parties seeking seek-ing the purchase or sale of mines, may find facilities for acquiring certain and reliable information for mining transactions, transac-tions, and to furnish for publication reports re-ports upon mineral developments, production pro-duction and statistics in Utah. The association solicit specimens ci ores aui mineral product! ids from all parts of the Territory, which will be arranged m cabinets by districts. And all miners or mine owners can register a description of their mines with the association, together with any items relating to character of ore, production, produc-tion, prices, etc The general office of ihe association will be made a place for a public display of the compara-. compara-. tive wealth ef all the mining districts j of the Territory. |
