Show Twenty-Fourth at Wanship, Tho citizens of Wanship celebrated tho 24th in their usually spirited manner. man-ner. At sunrise, three guns. At 9 o'clock, twelve guns. Procession composed of pioneers,local authorities, orator of the day, female relief society, Sunday school and day school children, marched to the Tabernacle. Taber-nacle. Judgo Snyder being indisposed, his. oration was read by R. R. Rogers, Esq., which was rcpleto with history and good humor. Major H. W. Briz-zco Briz-zco .delivered a patriotic adresa in behalf be-half of the Mormon Battalion. Songs, toasts, recitations, music and a really ino danoo concluded the exercises. We regret to learn that, on the 20th, Judge Snyder was severely injured in the groin, whilo making a heavy willow fence. Ho was, on yesterday, wo are glad to state, improving encouragingly. |
