Show THE KXCCIlSlOX, Yesterday witnessed another of those delightful excursions on Salt Lake od rhc Btcamer City rf Corinnt. This pl-asant affair was inaugurated by our -oterpriains fellow citizen, Warren ilusscy, Esq., who got together a corn-piny corn-piny at once select and agreeable, all of whom appeared to hugely enjoy the pleasure of the excursion. The party consisting of about one hundred and ufty ladies and gentlemen left on a special spe-cial train at 8 o'clock, accompanied :y an excellent band of music selected tbr the occasion and under the direction direc-tion of captain Mark Croxall. On 'caving the cars the party were con-.eyed con-.eyed by teams to Lake Side where the steamer was moored with steam up ready to receive them. They soon got under Iway and by half-past ten were steaming in the direction of tho north noint of Church Island, which was -ounded during tho trip. The steamer, the lake, tho scenery, etc. , have been recently described in our columns, ind need not now be repeated. Suffice Suf-fice it to say that everything contributed contribu-ted to the plcasuro of tho party; the weather was all that could be desired, ho atmosphcro clear, and tho water of the Like limpid and smooth. Each neruber of tho party seemed to take pleasure in rendering the others happy; ind, with music, dancing and dining, the time passed mostplcasantly away. Much credit is duo to captain H. S. Jacobs and the officers of the steamer fjr their kindness and attention to the quests, they doing all in their power to idd to the comfort of the party, and :ibly seconded Mr. Husieyin rendering ;he affair a complete success. Upon returning to Lake Side some iittlo difficulty was experienced in landing, land-ing, owing to the breaking of the temporary tem-porary staging which had been erected is a landing, caused by a fresh breeze which suddenly sprang up. Thi?, however, was soon remedied; the party landed in safety and arrived at the railroad in good time for the regular evening train, which conveyed them back to tho city. On separating there ivas but one feeling, that of general satisfaction. The subjoined testimonial, signed on tho boat, speaks for itself: On Board Steamer. "City op Corinne," June 1st, 1S72. The undersigned excursionists on board the steamer Ci'y of Corinne, ire desirous of expressing our appreciation appre-ciation of the kindness and attention of Warren Hussey, E:q., tho originator origin-ator of this excursion, and captain H.
