Show j Malicious Scoundrelism. There . has been a double water gate on Red Butte creek, dividing the water so that part was conveyed to the 20th Ward and part to tho 11th Ward. On Saturday Satur-day night, some person, or persons, inspired in-spired by nothing short of devilish maliciousness, ma-liciousness, went to the gate with a team, as we are informed the tracks plainly show, and hauled it out of its place; then turned the water down towards to-wards the 11th Ward, so that none of it could go in the other direction. Camp Douglas is watered from the ,-ame creek, and the sudden and unexpected unex-pected rush cf water towards the 11th Ward washed through General Morrow's Mor-row's garden, carrying away his vegetables vege-tables and even the soil. What other damage was done by this scoundrelly act we have not heard; but we trust every means will be taken to discover and punish the perpetrators. A meeting is called for to-morrow evening, in the 20th Ward school-house, school-house, in connection with the matter, of which notice will be found in our advertising columns.
