Show "Pigeon, tub Tor.mf.nt." This drama, to which Mrs. F. M, Bates will make her first appearance at tho theatre here to-morrow ni.ht, is from the pen of Howard J. Taylor, of San Francisco, and was first produced at the Metropolitan theatre of that city, with Mrs. Bates in the title role. The play abounds in Sine situations and tableaux, and is something someth-ing afier tha style of, and a sort of companion piece to, "Fan-chon," "Fan-chon," though it is eteeuiej a better written drama by competent judge?. Mrs. Bates' acting in the titie role has won the highest encomiums from the California press, sustaining her See reputation as an actress of superior ability. |
