The Republicans rciJinir id tlie several sev-eral Territories of the Loite-i States have been invited by iho National He-publican He-publican committee to participate in the deliberations of the National Republican Re-publican convention which is to meet at tho city of Philadelphia, on the oth day of June, ks7;i, for the purpose of nominating candidates for president I and vice prcsidcut of the United States to be supported at the election in November. No-vember. The opportunity being thus afforded for the organization of the Republican party in Utah, the undersigned have deemed it advisable to unite in a recommendation re-commendation that a convention be held at the city hall in Salt Lake city; ou Friday evening, April ;i, at half-past half-past seven o'clock, to wltL-h convention delegates may be seat from all parts of the Territory, ou the basis of representation represen-tation adopted in the selection of delegates dele-gates to tho late Constitutional convention; con-vention; tho object of tho proponed convention being the selection of two delegates to the National Republican conventional before mentioned. In calling this convention we extend i the invitation to all Republicans and ! to all citizens who approve of the principles prin-ciples held by the Republican party and whose views aro iu consonance j with that great national organization.
